Super thank you po sa lahat ng nag-pray for Casper's successful operation 💕. Smooth ang naging surgery because of the very skilled and kind vets na nag-opera sa kanya 🙏 . Monday (May 11) was his operation and it's been 2 days na and he's recovering na. Di nawalan ng gana kumain and masigla pa rin, very good sya uminom ng gamot 🥰.

Regarding the large heart (compared to average dog) seen on his X-ray, his vet said that his heart rate remained stable during the gas anesthesia and no abnormalities were observed. Tingin namin he may have mixed large-breed genes kaya malaki heart nya.

The vet previously recommended a 2D echo, but the earliest available sched at diff. clinic is still next month. Since lumalaki na yung bukol, we decided to proceed with the surgery asap instead of waiting. And according to his his vet, regardless sa result ng 2D echo, surgery is still required. Thankfully, naging okay naman ang lahat. Still, we will continue to be mindful of his heart condition and careful sa overall care and diet.

Again, we truly appreciate all your prayers for Casper. He is such a sweet and very good dog. We continue to ask for your prayers for his fast recovery and complete healing. 🙏💕🐶

Tofu, laban lang tayo ha? I will never give up on you, just like you didn’t give up on me. Ilalaban pa rin kita.

Tofu is currently fighting feline parvovirus (FPV), which was confirmed on May 10.

Supposedly, he was about to get discharged on May 11 para sa bahay na lang icontinue yung PU post-op recovery niya. But the vets noticed Tofu’s open mouth breathing, so they advised viral testing (FIP, FHV, FCV, & FPV). Unfortunately, he tested positive for Parvo.

I am reaching out to everyone—to those who have been following River’s journey and to those who are meeting him for the first time. As many of you know, River has been fighting since May 1 due to a severe blockage and an enlarged bladder. After days of intensive flushing and 24/7 care, we were so hopeful when his May 6 ultrasound showed he was clear of sediments and his urine finally became clear of blood by May 9. Since he was peeing on his own from May 7 to 12, I made the difficult decision to bring him home to manage his care and try to stop the mounting confinement fees, even though he still had some bloody, watery stools.
However, everything changed this morning, May 13. River began peeing very small amounts with visible blood multiple times, and it became clear that his condition was not improving. The vet has told us that surgery is now the only way to stop this cycle and save his life. I had to decide on the spot, and I agreed because I cannot let him suffer and I simply cannot lose him. River is the only one I have left in my life, and it is so hard for me to give up on him, even as my financial situation gets harder to manage. I have already covered River's last remaining running bill using my very last savings, and now that we are facing a whole new set of expenses for his surgery, I am truly in need of help once again.
I want you to know that I’ve tried to look for cheaper options that people suggested, but we ended up staying with Petelier. They are the most affordable clinic near us, and we have already built a level of trust with them. The other lower-cost clinics are unfortunately too far from our house for me to safely transport him. I am attaching the new running bill for his surgery to this post, and I am humbly knocking on your hearts.
Honestly, it hurts my pride to do this and I feel so much shame, but I’m doing it for my River. I don’t want to reach a point where I regret not doing everything I could while he is still fighting. I am just trying not to lose him. For anyone who needs more proof of River’s current status or condition, I am more than willing to show him to you through photos or videos. He is so important to me, and I never wanted any of this to happen to him. While Tofu tested negative for FIPv, FHV, and FCV, sadly, he tested positive for Feline Parvovirus (FPV). The first 3 to 5 days are very critical, which is why close monitoring is very important.

Thank you to the mods for approving my post and for taking the time to verify everything, I really appreciate it.

This is my first time posting here, and I’m reaching out in the hopes of getting some help with my confined cat, Tofu.

Tofu is my adopted stray cat since June 2025. First time ko maging fur parent, and honestly I’m still learning along the way. They say, “to be loved is to be changed”, and Tofu made me understand that in a real way. Sobrang mahal na mahal ko yan si Tofu. Kaya I’d do anything just for my cat to survive—I will keepdoing and finding ways as long as I can.

For the past weeks, Tofu has been struggling with FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease). He has already undergone 2 catheterizations and confinements, pero unfortunately in Tofu’s case, pabalik-balik p rin yung condition niya in a just a short time lang. Eventually, surgery became our last option.

Tofu underwent Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery last May 3, and the surgery went well. During the surgery, his vet surgeons found areas of necrotic tissue in his urethra (necrotic=nabubulok na), as well as a fistula in his urethra (fistula is an abnormal opening where urine passes through the wrong pathway). These findings made his case more complex and different from typical cases. That probably explains why his UTI keeps coming back as well as blockages.

Right now, he’s in the recovery phase. I’m really thankful na naging successful yung surgery, but his recovery is still very critical. I’m doing everything I can to support his healing.

As much as I want to shoulder everything for Tofu, I have to be honest. Financially struggling na ako because of the previous vet expenses since Tofu has been in and out of the clinic. Estimated total expenses are around ₱30,000 more.

Any amount would really mean so much, kahit piso or ₱1 ay malaking tulong na for Tofu.

I’m humbly reaching out to ask help for my cat, Tofu, who’s currently confined here in Parañaque due to recurring FLUTD.

Yesterday (May 1,morning), I rushed Tofu back to the vet clinic after he became visibly weak and could ni longer urinate. Naka 2 catheterizations and confinements na po siya, kakadischarge lang niya last April 27. Sadly, bumalik ulit yung condition niya after 2-3 days.

I’m a first-time fur parent, and Tofu is a stray cat that I took in last June 2025. Sobrang mahal na mahal ko siya. Tofu isn’t just a pet—he’s my family. Hangga’t kaya ko, gagawin ko lahat for him to survive and recover.

Because of this, the vet advised that he may need perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery to help prevent future blockages and improve his quality of life. This procedure could give him a real chance to survive and live more comfortably.

I truly want to keep fighting for Tofu, but I have already exhausted my funds from his 2 previous catheterizations/confinements. The surgery could cost more than ₱30,000. As much as I want to shoulder everything, I honestly can no longer cover the upcoming medical expenses on my own.

I never thought I would reach this point, pero lulunukin ko na ang pride at hiya ko for Tofu.

Hello, good morning po. I’m humbly asking for help for my cat, Tofu.

He has a history of urinary blockage (FLUTD) and was previously catheterized twice. Based on his diagnosis, he is already a candidate for PU (perineal urethrostomy) surgery, and I was advised to bring him to the vet immediately if signs of blockage happen again. You may kindly check Tofu’s diagnosis attached for reference.

Tofu was discharged last April 27. At first, nakakahiwi pa siya, pero paunti nang paunti — from small amounts, naging patak na lang. Since yesterday, wala na talaga lumalabas. Wala na rin akong mascoop sa litter box.

Ngayon, pabalik-balik siya sa litter box trying to pee, tapos makikita mo napapagod na siya, hihiga na lang siya dun. He’s very lethargic, halos di gumagalaw, and barely ate the whole day. His body also feels warm when I hold him.

I’m really scared because I know this is already life-threatening.

Nakagastos na po ako ng more than ₱40,000 pesos for his two previous catheterizations and confinement (12 days apart), and naubos na talaga funds ko. I’ve been doing everything I can for him, but I honestly cannot afford another emergency treatment or surgery on my own.

- Tofu has been brought to his vet this morning.
- Processes prior to surgery: Catheterization>Bloodworks>Surgery
- Tofu is currently on catheter again.

To give a recap on my previous post, Tofu’s currently suffering from Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD) and has a bloody urine due to active infection. This is Tofu’s 4th day of confinement at the vet clinic.

Update:

As of April 24, Tofu is already showing a good appetite and is eating well on his own. His drinking water voluntarily and remains responsive po. Although his urine is slightly bloody po (wasn’t able to picture during my visitation earlier), it is currently being monitored through the catheter. His vet advised me that Tofu’s urine will continue to be observed until it becomes clearer. Hence, Tofu remains confined at the clinic with a catheter in place, undergoing continuous monitoring and treatment.
