Out on the canal for a short 90 minute session, pretty windy today, canal looked like it was nearing having waves lol. Whether that top tail fin goes 44cm or not is up for debate, but very happy. I think this fish goes 3lb in the winter but oh well!
Couple of hours out on the canal, caught this 37cm. Very welcome fish, my biggest in a while (not a PB in length/weight though). Noticed a lot of Perch fry in the canal, so looks like they may be done spawning. Noticed a couple of aquatic plants had grown quite fast towards the surface, which is rare as hell near me, not sure if its because GUC is so dirty most of the time.
Anyway first cast with a chatterbait through these plants and this guy snapped it up.
