My biggest smallmouth bass yet ! I tried to support its belly on my leg to snap the photo before quickly returning it to the water. I recommend a simple ned rig to my fellow beginners. I used a 1/10 oz jig head for my local pressured lake along the rocky shoreline and used 1/16 oz for smaller bass in rivers. Most of the time you cast it out and get a bite just as it settles on the bottom. I’ve had success just deadsticking. Try it !
