Playback latency - Any ideas?

Hi all, thanks for reading...

I have an X6 and a also twin acting as a monitor control and extras ins/outs. I rarely record electric guitar but tonight I recorded some via the Hi-Z and the latency on playback is quite big. I don't have any plugins in Logic on the audio track or on the Master. I am using an amp plugin in the unison slot in console.

Any ideas? I understand the apollo's are latency free... I think it must be something pretty simple but I have been reading various articles and scratching my head for the last hour...

Many thanks in advance.

Worth pointing out that until recently I had a 1073 clone and I have in the past recorded guitar through that without issue.

Hi all and thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully reply.

I am a wing it musician - guitar, bass and I bang around some chords on the piano.

My 12 year old daughter showed interest at an early age in the piano and I let her play around until she got to a point where she got more curious which was about 4-5 years ago and I just subscribed to Simply Piano and let her get on with it. She completed it with speed and ease and so I moved her to Skoove which she has now finished.

She has amazing feel and touch and is a natural musician with a beautiful powerhouse voice way beyond her age. She is a natural performer and but after all of this she doesn't read music. She recognises it and can pick out notes but there is no real reading or sight reading. Now here is the thing;

She has just been awarded a music and drama scholarship after performing a beautiful Ludovico Einaudi piece that she taught herself. The comments from the musical director were glowing but he said that he would expect her to get piano lessons to progress to her full potential but for the next year until she starts, she should go back and start a basic piano teaching book. Interestingly this was also advised by someone else.

A couple of questions... What would be the best book, considering she is fairly advanced/intermediate and so she doesn't feel its a step back and too boring or childish. She is on the cusp of that teenage kick back... She's aboslutely ready to pack her bags for her first world tour!!!

Secondly, I thought these apps taught how to read too? Is there another complimentary app that might work for her at this stage?

Any help would be most appreciated, thanks in advance.
