what’s actually happening to your nasal tissue when you use these long term

ok so i’ve been going pretty deep on this and one thing that keeps coming up is that the tissue gets genuinely damaged over time. like the barrier function of the mucosa gets compromised, which might explain why even after the rebound congestion settles the recovery still feels so rough.

has anyone found anything that actually helped with that side of it? not the breathing obstruction specifically but the tissue recovery. gels, barrier sprays, anything that made the withdrawal period more manageable beyond just saline?

what actually helps with the dryness?

this has become a full hyperfixation for me so bear with me.

one thing i had no idea about was how the hormone changes can affect the dryness of your nose, vagina, mouth, eyes, sometimes all at once rather than separate unrelated things.

wanted to ask here: has that been your experience ? dryness in multiple areas beyond just vaginal?

and what have you tried that has genuinely helped? also, what have your doctors recommended/ do they actually take the discomfort seriously?

what actually helps with the dryness and irritation ?

been looking into mucosal dryness for a while now and people with non-allergic rhinitis keep coming up as one of the most underserved groups.

curious what you’ve tried for dryness, irritation, to soothe that raw or sensitive feeling. saline, gels, sprays, anything. what’s helped, what hasn’t, and what do you wish existed that doesn’t?

what actually helps with long-term nasal dryness from CPAP?

been going deep on nasal mucosal health research and CPAP users keep coming up as one of the most affected groups, so i wanted to come here and actually ask:

for those of you dealing with nasal dryness long term, what have you tried, and what’s genuinely helped? saline sprays, humidifier adjustments, gels, anything ? and equally, what have you tried that didn’t really work or only helped temporarily?
