Do you think this would work for psoriasis in other locations?
Obviously it’s marketed for the heal but I know people talk about urea as a good ingredient for psoriasis. Has anyone tried using this on patches elsewhere on the body?

I haven’t gotten a haircut in a really long time, and definitely not since I’ve had such bad psoriasis.
I’m worried about a few things: it’s gross and I’m insecure about a hairdresser being grossed out. Should I warn them? Is this normal? Are they unfazed? I had a hairdresser once make me feel weird about my hair being greasy and flaky and now I’m paranoid.
Also, I only wash with medicated shampoo normally. Do you think this will be an issue? Should I ask them to not wash it but just wet it? Are you allowed to bring your own shampoo? Do salons have special shampoos for clients with scalp problems?
Anyone with any experiences?
So I’ve been dealing with scalp psoriasis for about a year (probably more, but a year diagnosed). I’ve mostly been managing with shampoos and steroid topicals but I recently finally saw a derm and she wanted to get me off steroids because it’s a long term problem and I shouldn’t be using them over and over long term (annoying cause they’re the only things that work but fair). She prescribed me this Cocois ointment which I’m about to be finished with but I just don’t feel like it’s been very helpful. I’m applying it to just about my whole scalp every 2-3 days (based around my hair washing, with capasal) and I haven’t noticed any improvement. But maybe without steroids that’s all I can hope for? I’m curious though if anyone has had any better luck with other non steroid scalp topicals before I reup on this one. Thanks guys 😭
