We’re in Alexandria. 4 month old infant and a 3 year old toddler. Toddler would stay in daycare. Looking for a nanny for the infant and could they do daycare pick up at 4pm then help juggle both kids for about an hour.
Husband and I are preparing to send our infant to daycare at 6 months but trying to figure out how much the delta is between the (VERY GOOD) $2k / mo infant room at daycare and a nanny for maybe a 6-12 month stretch.
We had a good experience with our first kid and daycare starting at 6mo but it’s not ideal, and a nanny would help give us flexibility. Just trying to figure out if we can afford it.
I have in my head a nanny would be about $5k/mo all in through an agency? am I way off base? We don’t have any referrals to help us find a cash kind of under the table thing and I’d prefer to make sure the tax and screening tuff etc is done since we’d be asking them to drive the kids around in our car etc
