So I hv just completed my last year of highschool and I was wondering of taking a year gap to learn japanese and make a portfolio about my art then apply for MEXT scholarship and try to get in the Kyoto University of Arts. Now i need advice whether this is practical or if there is any other kind of way which is better than this since I have heard that very few people get scholarships and its just a word to attract more applicants. Also currently I am aiming for being a mangaka but I am not really that good at the advanced art techniques (like I know basics which I will improve but you get my point..it wont be as good as someone who is into this for a longer time)..

P.S.: I wont be going without scholarship...
