Mine is when people say things like 'Meshuggah fans can headbang to [insert number from 2-10] different rhythms and all of them are correct'. Anyone who says that doesn't understand Meshuggah. Their whole thing (at least post-DEI) is that though they make rhythmically complex music, they never change subdivisions and almost always play in 4/4
I'm normally against objective right and wrong in how people interpret art, but this is one of those cases where if there is a correct interpretation, it's glaringly obvious.
