Dual booting Garuda Linux (Don't judge lol) and Windows

I've recently been fed up with the quirks and issues surrounding Windows and Windows updates recently, so I have decided I want to use Linux and Windows at the same time. I understand the concept of dual booting, however I am unsure of how to go about it.

I've heard of a couple of ways to dual boot. The first way I have heard is partitioning a single drive while allocating some space to Linux and some space to Windows, having all my files and data on one drive. The other method I've heard is having a partition on one drive, with Windows in one partition and Linux in the other, and then having all my games, files and data on another drive.

I do have a second drive (SATA SSD), so the second option is doable.

Any support on this matter is appreciated.

My specs:

Ryzen 5 5500

RX 580 2048sp

32GB Vengeance Pro RGB DDR4 3200

Cooler master air cooler

Kingston nvme m.2

Samsung SATA SSD

Cooler master 850W PSU
