My ex broke up with me 3 weeks ago because he wasn't fully ready for a relationship/wasn't in a place to be the best partner to me. We were friends for awhile before we were together, are rather compatible in terms of life goals/desires, had very good sex together, and got along very well as people.
I know in time I'll think about him less or not miss him in my life as much, but as of now I want him to come back to me. He knows and his friends tell him that I treat him better than any girl ever will, and it is agreed upon amongst his friends that he won't find better. No part of the breakup was brought on by me (as in, I was a patient partner and very secure, not asking for the impossible/pressuring him to move things along).
Will he come back eventually? When both of us are ready? I'm not waiting but also not not waiting if that makes sense.
