Hey all! I wanted to check when I should be applying for ILR as I’m close to the 5 year mark on my Skilled Worker Visa.

Background:
- Have held a Skilled Worker Visa continuously since October 2021

- Switched employers in 2024, with a month gap in between my last day at my previous employer, and first day with the new employer

- Made redundant in August 2025, and visa was curtailed until Dec 2025. Got a new job and extended my visa in Nov 2025

- Started my new job in Jan 2026, first paycheck in Feb 2026

I’m slightly concerned about the fact that I was made redundant last year, despite the fact I continuously held a Skilled Worker Visa status. Would I still be able to apply for ILR later this year in September / October 2026?

I applied for a Schengen Visa a few weeks ago for Spain in BLS London. I’ve visited the Schengen area a few times previously and have not had any issues when getting visas beforehand (6-month multi-entry).

Application is currently processing with the consulate but I just spotted that I mistyped the expiry date of my evisa in the UK! The expiry date should have been Feb 2028, however this was reported as Feb 2026 on the application form! The share code on the form is valid, however, and when looking up the code online it’ll show the correct expiry date as Feb 2028.

Is there anything I can or should do at this point? The application form is the only place where my evisa details are - BLS London didn’t take the print out of my evisa or share code when they collected my application. I’m hope the embassy would exercise discretion, presume it’s a typo, and go with what’s displayed on the actual evisa website.
