Folks, We are a hardware + Software based product company. I have a hardware devices which connects to a Single Software IDE that I have created. I want to know what all Product docs tools that everybody is using and if im missing any from my research comparision before I choose one platform.

for now GitBook sounds more like a right choice (Saas, good with .md files, tech+non-tech folks can maintain). Mintlify is expensive. Have explored Wiki.js and Docusaurus but since im looking for a hosted/saas version, they are out.

My priority is, definitely .md file integration, should be easy to load for my customers and search. UI should be decently good and having cost advantage is always good.

Any suggestions ?

Folks, I run a small business and I am facing this issue in drafting and sharing legal docs > contracts > NDA > Proposals > Employment docs

I want all of my docs to have some reference numbers like "DOC-7578687" which is also logged in my back end system which eventually helps me track, audit the docs I share externally. I can reference them by their number in emails and audits. This feature is available in some paid apps and platforms but its too much to spend for me to just get this?

I tried, google script btw > works like charm but no audit log.
Any ideas ?
