I just wanted to share two new purchases I made. DKNY Be Delicious: my first “designer” purchase that I made as an adult. Randomly went into a Ross and saw it front and center and I had to get it.
Pearfat Bread and Roses: the most unexpected thing I could have left with. Pearfat had been on my list to try for awhile, but not that one. I had some time to kill and walked into a local boutique that I’d been meaning to go to that I knew carried a lot of niche fragrances. The fragrance counter was busy with a group of women testing pretty much everything from what I could see, so I just kind of slid in and sniffed some of the tester strips they had out on the counter. We had a nice conversation about Heretic. I fell in love with the Bread and Roses tester.
Here’s the thing, I don’t do florals. Especially not rose. They make me smell like I’m wearing a costume. They don’t smell bad on me, they just don’t smell like me. But the bread aspect of this drag makes it truly unique, tempers that rose accord in a very good way, and feels like you’re wearing something incredibly unique and special. Just wait for the dry down, because the first spray just smells like wet dough and isn’t that great at first.
