I took my labret out, is it going to scar?
I got my labret pierced on Tuesday (five days ago) and unfortunately the piercer made a mistake of piercing 2 millimetres higher than she meant to. I took it out today and intend to get repierced in a few weeks when this hole has closed completely, but I’m worried about scarring.
My dad is a keloid former all over his body, and I guess I may be sensitive to that too, but not completely sure to what extent. It looks like the pictures I’ve attached right now, but it feels measurably thicker than normal and is maybe swollen(??) when I smile the spot is visible and pokes out which I don’t like.
Does anyone have advice/tips to avoid scarring and keloid formation??? I’m worried.

The piercing was only in for 5 days and then I was instructed to remove it and re pierce in the future. Is there any aftercare I should focus on other than mouthwash and saline solution?
