55" > 77" Will a ceiling mount be too much?
Split level ranch built in 1996. Open concept living room/kitchen/dining. I mounted my 55" TV like this 2 years ago and love it. Way too high, so perfect fit. It weighs about ~40 lbs. My open concept area has a diagonally vaulted ceiling with maybe a 2-4ft crawl space between the attic space and the roof. I wasn't concerned with the 55" but I really want to keep this ceiling mounted when I received my 77" Friday. The 77" is s90f so about 80 lbs. I'm willing to buy a more heavy duty/higher rated ceiling mount bracket but can these type of truss/joist/rafters support that type of weight without my running into issues years down the road or sooner?
