I've been playing elec. guitar for a year. I felt like i was making extreme progress, and i was really happy about it. just recently, my playing has sounded stiff messy, and unpleasent. I dont know what it is, but my playing just feels worse, and i don't know what to do.
by the way im aming at (someday) shredding
my friend (former drummer) is into AI music. whenever where hanging out, hes listening to a pre-generated AI song. Its genuinely sad to see people actually listening to that stuff. The whole point of music is the art, and the feeling. AI is just mindless robot. no matter what, its never going to create real art. Why not just listen to real music? I have no idea.

I have walked into many classes, and seen how terrible the curriculum is becoming. first of all, most teachers don't put enough pressure on the students. during the middle of class, almost half was just playing computer games. also, the work is terrible! half the time the answer is just written on the board. and the way kids are taught reading is so bad. all these dumb techniques .that don't even make sense. this is a huge reason why the u.s is getting dumber.
ive been wondering what others favorite slipknot albums are.

i need to start a band.
its been bugging me for a while. i keep starting bands with other music players, and they loose interest very fast, before we can even do much. how can i find people who will care and not loose intrest within the first week?
not many people play instruments that i know, so i dont know how to get very far at all.
any advice?
