Hello,
I’ve had this squirrel come onto my balcony (I’m on the 3rd floor) through the trees consistently, this is her 3rd spring. She’s the only squirrel that does this so I know for sure it is her.
Today she’s been way off, she was napping/ dozing off all day (from 11:30 AM until around 7 pm) curled up, nose tucked in. She’s been moving very slowly. She never sticks around, she usually stops by for food/ water then goes on about her day.
I was watching her all day and at one point she was on the branch outside of my balcony and she dozed off and fell down 😭 I went down to check on her and she was sitting upright, then she climbed back up that same tree, ate a pecan she had stashed from before then kept dozing off and napping, until she slowly climbed off the tree and retreated towards her general nest area across the street.
I’ve set up some water and peanuts on the balcony in my cat carrier but she did not go in it. I have no idea what could be wrong with her or how I could possibly bring her to the wildlife rehabilitation centre.
I really want to at least try to help her, watching her fall was devastating.
