Anyone have recent experience using T-Mobile Satellite service for basic texting? And would it also work on iPhones with the Share My Location?

Trying to avoid buying Garmin Inreach.

After the North Rim opens on May 15, anyone know if there will there be normal/easy access to drinkable water… or is it just that after May 15 the trail to North Rim will be open?
