Weird thing in aquarium. Stuck to filter vinyl tube. Tank mates are nerite snails, pond snails, and I think a ramshorn snail. Located in California.

So one day around half a year ago I start feeling really cold and it's weird, even when wearing many layers still freezing cold, nobody else in the house feels that way. Few hours later I'm in my bed when I start having these semi violent twitches, where my shoulder twitches up or my head twitches to the side, and, I'm not sure exactly how to explain this, but I couldn't tell whether the twitches were actually happening out of my control or it was all some sort of placebo and I was actually the one moving myself. Anyway these twitches went on for like 15 minutes and only then did my parents actually start caring, checked my temperature and I had a fever. They checked again a few minutes later and it got higher, and higher. I think it stopped at around 102. What was happening here? Why was I twitching? But the thing is, ever since then, whenever I'm slightly cold, these twitches will return. I still can't tell if they're out of my control or I'm purposely doing them, and they'll be like one shoulder goes up or my head suddenly twitches and I look up, and people around me wearing similar heating levels of clothing will not be having this. Any comments, advice? The twitches don't hurt but they're annoying and weird. Thank you.
