Helloooo, not sure how this thing works but i’m a fellow ballerina studying fashion design. As a senior graduating in less than 2 months, I’m working on a collection about the duality of ballet and the contrast between balletcore and real ballet basically.
Additionally to my collection, I gotta write a thesis with the same subject and I would rly appreciate it if some ballet dancers (pros or not, could be just hobby) could answer some of these questions (just one, two or more!!).
Thank you in advance for your time :)

Do you think the “balletcore” trend impacts the world of dance/ballet positively or negatively? What is your opinion on the trend?
What is a common misconception people generally have about ballet?
Do you feel that the image the public has of classical ballet reflects your experience as a dancer?
Why are layering, mismatched pieces, and worn clothing so important in a dancer’s wardrobe?
Do you think the “random”/mismatched and worn aspect of dancewear is overlooked in fashion’s representation of dance? (in contrast with balletcore being mainly dainty, clean)
Which elements of “balletcore” do you find accurate, and on the contrary, which elements miss the mark?
How do you feel about ballet becoming/being a fashion trend?
Could you incorporate “balletcore” elements into your everyday style, or does it feel too disconnected from reality? If so, which?
