I set up caestellia shell, and everything is great, but i have a minor issue.
When booting up my PC, i get the default hyprland login screen. After sleep/suspend it displays caestellia's login screen. Is it supposed to do that?
If that's supposed to be happening, please let me know. thanks!
for context: I use Linux, a Unix-like system that functions in the terminal similar to MacOS. I have loved MacOS for when I use it for small things, such as editing documents, modifying code, etc. I develop a custom game engine and want to build support for Mac too. I also love apples design, and I feel it’s beautiful. I just want an answer to these three questions:
1: Is macOS good for developing like Arch Linux?
2: How bad can I mess up? Can I easily create snapshots and restore?
3: Would buying a macbook or a Mac mini be better? Do trackpad gestures make productivity better?
4: What system is the ideal Mac? RAM, Storage, Etc.
5: Is Mac extra hard to repair or is it as hard as a regular laptop?
6: Where should I buy Mac? physical Apple Store? Costco?
7: How easy is it to make apps that integrate well with apples design? Is it as easy as programming in the web? (I think what I’m asking about is SwiftUI, but I don’t know for sure)

Can anyone help me set up cachyOS (PROPERLY THIS TIME xD)
So far, my experience with cachyOS has not been too great. games are so laggy that I cant even close their menus. I'm reinstalling it, because i have to have fucked up somewhere along the line. i need a guide to get this set up properly. my goals are the following:
1: install cachyOS with hyperland, nvidia drivers, and other needed stuff.
2: get https://github.com/caelestia-dots/caelestia to work.
3: thats it.

Asus b650e max gaming wifi w max
Asus prime 5070ti
2TB SSD (to erase fully)
32GB DDR5 6400
i know how to use the installer, i just need help getting NVIDIA set up properly. my only experience with it is one click and you're done bazzite. i switched to cachy for a few things. please do not say "use bazzite" or "use ubuntu" i am new to linux and hope to learn.
I installed the gaming packages from cachyos hello, and cant even play half life 2 at 720p above 30fps... its not hardware, it was fine on bazzite... please guys i need some help. specs below

Asus B650E motherboard
Hyprland (is this the problem?)
