Hi, I had committed to doing an Invisalign treatment with an orthodontist back in December (based in Seattle, total cost $7,988 with insurance paying $2.5k).
I put down $1k, and made a few payments over the next few weeks (total $1374). I got all of the trays and one ortho set up appointment, and a few emergency appointments due to my buttons constantly falling off (which meant I couldn’t wear my bands). Several of my buttons were constantly falling off, and due to constantly traveling out of state due to personal reasons, it was hard to keep coming into the ortho office for last minute fixes. With the buttons falling off, it delayed my band movement, and this practice used some photo app for me to send in photos of my teeth through the app, which they would then decide if I move forward with my next trays.
I decided to terminate my Invisalign completely. In the contract, it states “in the event you have made payments exceeding the cost of services rendered up to the termination date, your orthodontist will promptly assess the total charges for the treatment and services provided. Any amounts paid in excess will be identified and refunded to you.”
I am wondering if I overpaid, paid just the right amount, or underpaid for the services. I terminated very early on. I emailed asking for itemized receipt/documentation, but this is all that they shared with me (in screenshot).
