As the title say, I am not too familiar with anything furry or fursona related so I figured I should ask a few questions first.
I got a lot of conflicting informations online so I was wondering, are fursona sort-of like an OC where you need to do extensive worldbuilding around?
Can they represent who you are as a person (simply a design you like, morally-alligned, similar mindset, etc) or is it considered "boring" to do so?
What's going on with people putting fursona for adoption..?
Can you have more than one fursona ? Is it considered weird/uncommon to do so?
How closely do you need to stick to the big families in term of design (furry = mammals with fur? & scalie = reptilian with scales?) ?
Do you necessarily need to create your own "specie" if your fursona doesn't allign with animals that exist irl?
How much thoughts do you need to put into a design and specie/world overall (aka do you need to have a logical reason as to why has X or Y (e.g. fur pattern helps camouflage better)) ?
And what are some common do's and dont's that are generally good to avoid when making a fursona (things that might mean smth bad in the fandom, etc) ?
I appologize if this is a lot of questions or if its common knowledge, I am just very very new to this and don't wanna get a bad rep by accident.
edit: Thanks a million all of you for answering
