I'll say it, its more than most likely the files I've downloaded but even then I'm not entirely sure since they still run in emulators, but I'll give a list of my problems/what I've done to try and solve it.

1. I installed DBI and I have the latest version of it and Atmosphere and Hekate

2. After updating everything and even installing syspatch and sigpatch and even the fusee.bin I thought maybe me downloading NSP files were the problem because I kept getting error messages after the game would be done installing but then it would it never appear as installed, so I installed XCI files and for the first time in 5 hours the DBI launcher actually installed the games, but they didn't load and when I checked them in settings it said the SD card data was corrupted but when once again, when I put it in emulators they work fine, so I'm confused (I should preface some games in the emulators didn't work so I'm only referencing the games that did work.)

3. I tried NSP files again and I'm getting the same error, I try XCI files and I'm still getting the problem of them not loading.

4. My SD is formatted as FAT32

5. I have a valid SD card (sandisk 256 A1 chip)

So I'm wondering what could genuinely be the problem with my switch other than the files which I think is the problem but at the same time I don't know for sure, I also wonder if its cause I'm using Applet version of HB because well I have no other apps to go off of for the full RAM usage.

Someone please help.

So I bought a switch v1 about a month ago and I'm just now realizing it has no SD card, if I buy a new SD card will I still be able to mod my switch?

I'm starting to get into JRPGs as of the last year and DQ piqued by intrests as it's considered the father of JRPGs, I've played FF1 & 2(PR) and they're nice and I've decided that I want to play FF and DQ in relation to another by finishing a game in one series and then going to the next series and continuously interchanging them. But as for DQ which version should I play?

And before people start rcommending the NES version, I'm okay and I really don't feel like playing it tbh, so which is the best way to play DQ and why?
