Met this girl while at work.I went to her workplace for a meeting and met her while she was working there. We hit things off nicely and after leaving she gave me her number on the way out. We started texting that night, and she seemed really into me. She told me she had gotten out of an engagement about a month and a half ago before this. We texted for about a week and a half through the days until we decided on a first date. We went on our first date and things went really well, I got to know her a lot better and so did she. We ended things off with a kiss and went our separate ways.
Two days later I went to her place for a second date and we played some board games and talked a lot more. We eventually moved things to the bedroom and got to know each-other a bit better. After that, we started seeing eachother more frequently, I would go to her place and we would play crib and or go for walks.
About a month goes by and one night while pillow talk is going on, she brings up if I’m with anyone else, which at the time or since I started seeing her, I wasn’t. I asked her the same and she said no. Great. Exclusivity was then made clear.
We discussed lots on our dates and communicated a lot of our values and what we both like and admire about each-other.
One night, we went to a hotel, and other women were brought up by her….i had told her there’s been plenty of women who have tried to get me but it declined. She then tells me she was seeing someone else when we first started talking and ended things with them after about 3 weeks of talking to me.
I was a little upset at that.
I felt a little betrayed and a little uneasy about things. I’ve been thinking about it a lot and it really bothers me. She’s really into me and am I too but this kind of makes me second guess things with her. She is a very attractive young woman who works a lot and has a bright future.
Is this an ego thing on my end? Is this just how modern dating works in this day and age?
Just looking to see if this is normal, and or thoughts and concerns.
Thank you.
