Barbados Royals are returning to the name under which they played the first eight seasons of the CPL - Barbados Tridents

The franchise will return to Barbados' national colours, with a redesigned blue-and-yellow jersey. The Barbados government is also set to become a "minority co-investor" in the franchise, which will continue to be run by Royals Sports Group

Japan thrashes Indonesia by 41 runs in the Super Six of the ICC EAP 2028 T20 WC Qualifiers.

A good anchoring inning of 52(49) by Alexander Shirai-Patmore(which is also his maiden T20I fifty) and a good finishing knock of 37(22) by Ibrahim Takahashi alongside multiple good spells like the 2-12(3) by Reo Sakurano-Thomas and the 1-9(4) by Ibrahim Takahashi on the Japanese side while Kadek Gamantika top-scored for Indonesia with a 33(27) alongside a good few spells like the 2-17(3) by Ferdinando Banunaek and a 2-22(4) by Gaurav Tiwari.

Ibrahim Takahashi definitely should've gotten the POTM over Reo Sakurano-Thomas(he scored a 0(2) with the bat for comparison), absolute robbery imo.

I've got a question.

I see 10 septillion posts about how Cricket is a shit sport and that nobody outside of India gaf about it, to each and every single one of you who thinks that, all I ask you is to name me ***ONE*** sport which is the biggest sport in more countries than Cricket is(bar Football obviously).

Screw that, find me any sport that is the biggest sport in 10 countries that isn't called Football or Cricket.

Pakistan beats Zimbabwe in the 3rd Women's ODI by 9 wickets, winning the 3-match series 3-0.

Biza and Ndhlovu are the future for Zim, by far the best batters for them at just the ages of 17 and 20 respectively.

Samoa thrashes Indonesia by 9 wickets in the 4th match of the ICC EAP 2028 T20 WC Qualifiers.

Brilliant 58(26) by Darius Visser as always and some incredible spells of 3-6(4) with 2 maidens and 3-10(4) with 1 maiden from Solomon Nash(son of former BlackCap Dion Nash) and Samson Sola respectively.

Agonizing defeat for China I'd say, the equation looked 18 off 9 at one point with the Chinese captain, Mingyue Zhu being 59*(55) but then she got out and that was the final nail in the coffin for them.

Should've still gotten the POTM imo despite being on the losing side as Natasha Miles(who got the POTM) had just scored a 52*(62) while Zhu scored 59(56) and took a catch and had figures of 0-22(4).

This could also mean potential additional funding for Czech Cricket and that's always good news anywhere it happens.

An incredible one-woman show from Mas Elysa of Malaysia who hit a 51*(49) while the rest of her team scored 45*(73) and she deservedly got the POTM despite it coming in a losing cause(she also took a 1-28(4) with the ball so that also helped).

(Livi was not exactly "recent" but hadn't been posted already so I thought I may as well, Boult's signing was recent tho, this could also mean that the Dublin team is not going to be named "Mumbai Indians Dublin" because if that were the case then Boult would've been signed for them instead).

Also, does Indonesia do a coin toss to determine what colour jersey they'll wear before a match?
