Life tips for people living in Ireland - If you have any please comment down below

  • UCD have a body donation programme where they will pay for your funeral and cremation/burial. There's a form you can find if you google it. It must be signed by your GP and by your local Garda Station.
  • The governemnt run a programme called "Additional Needs Payment", if you are struggling financially they can help you out with buying things that you need.
  • If your parents/grandparents are 66 or over they can apply to their local county council to help with house repairs. It doesn't have to be a council house, they also help with privately owned houses.

Got rejected for a Cybersecurity masters yesterday. They advised the reason was that my CS degree is a one year higher diploma and they would prefer students with 4 year CS degrees. I find this strange as both are level 8 but I'm not going to fight it.

There is another masters, this one is in I.T Managment and it looks very interesting. I like that side of I.T much more than the coding side. However it is part-time and I'm not sure SUSI cover part-time postgrads.

I am based in Carlow and can't afford to move out of the county atm. The other masters available all run through the day and I can't leave my current job

Are there colleges in Ireland that run CS postgrads that you can do online full-time but also work?
