I have been making stuff sacks and zip bags etc from the brand new fabric from Challenge Outdoor, UltraTenX. Its a 100% UHMWPE weave. It has a stiffer handfeel, but with use it becomes a little more "supple". It has a really cool look. It is not available retail that I'm aware of, so thought you guys would be interested to see it in use. 🙂

I have been making backpacking gear for several years now, recently under the name Slide Sewing. Slide mtn in the Catskills is our favorite trip here in the Hudson Valley.

Anyways, I have several gear organization oriented bags made out of Challenge Outdoor UltraTenX. These are not mass produced, they are one of a kind. Very few companies have used this fabric yet. It is not available as yardage to the consumer market. This is the last of the green I have. This green color absolutely pops. If there is demand, I will be happy to make from other colors as well.

This is a very unique fabric that is very new. It is extremely lightweight, and with the weave being entirely made from UHMWPE, it is very tough. If you have any questions at all, about the fabric, the construction, backpacking in the catskills, please DM.

All items are fully seam sealed, and very water resistant. The dry bags could be considered waterproof, although they may leak if submerged.
