So my party is about to return Argynvosts skull to Argynvostholt and securing the third and final relic (Holy Symbol of Ravenkind). They have done everything else in the book except diner with Strahd and well defeating him to end the campaign. Strahd kidnapped Irena during the feast so I want to incorperate her in the end somehow.
The conundrum I am in is there is no way my party accepts a diner invitation and sit peacefully RPing. They are a punch-first ask questions later. They just would never go. Hell I cant even deliver an invetation by one of Strahds agents without them smashing them first.
I plan on changing diner into a weddings between Strahd and Irena that the party is welcome to crash while they are on the dark alter, kicking off the final encounter. I havnt fleshed this out beyond that.
The final fight is going to be Strahd fighting and retreating, fighting/retreating.....up the castle until the final epic moment where the party can finish him off on the balcony where Strahd threw Tatyana to her death.
What I am uncertain about, and would love any feedback, about my plan overall and how to present the wedding hook to my party.
