Has anyone else been contacted by Marshalltown requesting the return of a recently purchased vw hammer (the douglas hammer clone) for a "structural defect"? I dont see anything officially posted anywhere about a recall, usually these show up on an official consumer site. Yesterday they sent me a limited edition california framer, a prepaid envelope and the promise of a credit if I return the hammer. Im wondering if its really a defect or if they have some other issue in selling the hammer since its a copy of the Douglass.
