Kevin's diggin the ambulia

Trimmed and replanted my ambulia to make a little loach forest and kevin likes to spend his time scavenging up in the ambulia!

I have two loaches I am unable to identify, the first being this lovely little loach and the second loach kevin being shown in the second photo. The third photo shows the colour difference between the two and I'll add a photo of Kevin in better lighting to show how yellow he is!

They are both very small and about 4cm long. Any other info I can provide I'd be happy to!

My tank has a trickle filter (?) With a large back box that blocks a lot of light for my plants at the back. I'd like some plants that can be tall in the back and cover the glass but I've only found cherry hygro will live in the back.

I've tried water wisteria, blue hygro and ambuila with no success which I have since moved to the front and added a borneo sword to the back.

Has anyone had experience with a similar set up and what do you plant at the back? Would jungle Valseneria or apogenton crispus do well? Any advice appreciated!

I have 9 loaches in my tank with the majority being a healthy size with the exception of 3 smaller loaches i got in the past week im trying to get some weight on! These two are the chonkiest, I am wondering if they are pangio myersi or hogging more food. I believe I have a mix of pangio myersi, pangio alternans, pangio kuhli and one pangio malayana.
