-I was injured on the job in NYS in 2023. At first, my treatments were covered by workers comp, and then they started being denied. They essentially said they would fight me on any treatment I sought. There is still one $3k bill I am unsure about.

-I am unsure if my case was ever resolved or ruled on. The state sent me a letter siding with the insurance for one specific treatment. We did not go to court, and I stopped seeking care rather than continue to deal with fighting the insurance. My case status online is "No further action needed." Unsure what that means.

-3 years later, I live in a different state, and am on a different insurance than at the time of the accident. However after 3 years of debilitating post concussive headaches, I don't think I can put off seeing a doctor any longer.

My question is, when I tried to seek medical care before, the specialists would ask for my previous medical records, and then when they found out it was a workers compensation case the appointment would end then and there. I know in theory I could pretend I have never sought care for this before, but then I wouldn't be able to explain all the past medicines I have tried that have not worked. I don't want to start from scratch.

What is my best course of action here? I just want to get treatment using my personal insurance. I am so desperate for relief. I want to avoid committing insurance fraud if possible. Any advice is appreciated.
