Nightshift duties?
I accepted a transfer but lowkey I have no clue why my state government believes im the most qualified person to be a CO in juvie lol.
I currently work for the encompassing department but im more in like halfway house setting and support IDD adults as the majority of them are not able to be in jail despite having serious charges against them.
Ill be nightshift (as I currently am) in an actual correctional facility and I have no clue whag to expect as far as nightly duties.
Im not worried at all about behaviors/kids popping off but more the day to day stuff? Do we have to lock all our belongings up/ not have a phone, is there strict lunch breaks on night shift, smoking areas, etc.
I work 12 hr shifts now and literally we just clock in and out we eat whenever we want, and generally jusg do whatever whenever as long as the tasks get done and the residents are safe it doesnt matter when we do them.
