Hi everyone,

I’m working on a 1993 Fiat Ducato 2.5 TD (motorhome) and had a quick question about the engine bay.

In the photo, there’s a white plastic reservoir on the left side (next to the battery). I’m trying to confirm:

Is this the coolant expansion tank?

If yes, what type of coolant should I use for this engine?

And can I just top it up directly through that cap, or is there anything specific I should watch out for?

I’m new to working on older vehicles, so I want to make sure I don’t mess anything up.
