My dad has cancer do I go see him?
So I've been no contact with dad for about 2 years. I fled his because I couldn't cope woth the insults and belittling anymore about two years ago. I also strongly dislike the misogynistic view he has on women and him being far too open about his sexual atrraction when I was like 9. He also told me about how he wanted to kill people amd ne this mastermind murderer. He is weird amd I have very complicated feelings about him. He was sweet when I was little (5-8) he took me fun places played silly games with me but as I got older he became more emotionally neglegent. He also very went the whole route of its not depression youre juat lazy and I have it harder than you.
So now that there's some context. He has mouth cancer. No clue how severe but he'll be getting part of his jaw and tongue removed and then tested to see how far its spread. The guilt I feel is immense I still love my dad but I dont know if seeing him is the right choice. I wanted to post here as I think I will get opinions from people who have been through similar things. I wanted to get an opinion on what to do.
