So I recently bought a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F717 and I’m running into an issue with the Memory Stick. I bought what I’m pretty sure is the correct Sony 128MB Memory Stick, but when I put it into the camera, I get a “Memory Stick Failure” message.

I’ve read elsewhere in this sub that this isn’t an uncommon issue, but I haven’t been able to find a solid fix. I’m wondering if anyone has advice on whether this is more likely an issue with the Memory Stick itself or the camera. Is it worth trying another Memory Stick, or does this sound like a problem with the camera?
