I24M have been with my gf22 for 8 months. A few nights ago we went to her brothers birthday party. She drank a little too much and decided to stay the night there. I am deaf in one ear, and have extreme hearing loss in the other. I rely on my hearing aids especially in social situations. Well the night I stayed over, I had taken them off before bed but got up to pee shortly after. The next morning her parents were being super weird to me. After we left I found out that they tried talking to me and I didn’t hear them; they took that as I completely ignored them and was being rude. I have no clue why or how they weren’t aware of my hearing aids, my gf says she told them that I had hearing loss.
She wanted me to reach out to them and explain that I wasn’t ignoring them, to keep the peace. I asked her why I should have to do that when they just jumped to conclusions without letting me explain. We argued, She says I’m just making matters worse by not reaching out and she would think it’s weird as well. They wanted us to go to church with them Mother’s Day and she said that they were going to hold the grudge and is upset I’m refusing to explain
