I’m having such a hard time figuring out how much taxes I’ll have to pay when I renew my registration. I bought the car for something like $17000. Everything I’m seeing is saying $1.2k+ which is what I paid when I was registering it when I first got it. Which would be ridiculous to have to pay yearly. I only own my car. I saw that some jurisdictions offer vehicle tax relief for residents who are totally and permanently disabled, which I am.
I don’t have to renew until Nov, but I want to figure out how much I have to pay before then.
Edit to add. I have a 2024 Kia, that I just got in Nov 2025. I’m also in Cape Girardeau
