Soooo, Im doing a rewatch or lets say getting reacquanted with the story and I got to the Wano Arc and Im not even finshed, Im at 971. And I gotta say this is one of the best arcs in anime Ive ever watch; One piece is such a broad, all encompassing story that you Have to be aware with things to keep up so an arc is never just one arc its hidden theories, lore, characters who will be more important as the story goes on. So when engaging in Wano and being aware of the things that lead up to it as you arrive at Oden story it becomes a 10/10. Im not sure if Im expressing this properly but I feel as if that arc by itself might be better than a lot of anime, sure we've seen stories of vengeance heck fictional characters have been popular through that avenue with revenge being a core part of there character... coughs Batman. But Wano its a pirate story, a story of inheritance, a story of sacrifice, a story of great men, evil wicked despicable people, a story of ambition, a story of revenge and a story of destiny. From both perspectives you can see the motivations of these characters; men who names should lifted in the clouds and names that should not see the light of day. The writing of the villains of this story is executed so well they in their own way live up to the heroes in their own way. This one arc like Wano itself, with its story isolated for years in the One Piece world can stand alone as a tragedy, a coming of age, a redemption. ODEN WOULDN'T BE ODEN IF IT WASN'T BOILED!!!
PS: The voice actor for Kaido is very good atleast at the episodes Im rewatching now haha.
