I just wanted to share my progress on the end of z (manga colors) Goku. I picked up a wet pallet and some acrylic paint and brush’s and painted the wrist bands and belt. I have the boos taken a part to prep and get ready for paint and dye. I’m going to dye the ankle joints black so it stays nice and smooth and won’t hinder articulation. I’m waiting on green stuff epoxy putty so I can sculpt the upper part of the boots then paint. I gotta figure out how to shave down the undershirt and sculpt to prep for paint for a shirtless look. Overall this has been really fun and exciting as my first custom and I think I’m definitely going to follow up and take what I learned on a games begin figure! Wanted to take ya’ll on my journey with me thanks!

So I’ve been interested in doing customs lately and tried my hand at dying a figure. I originally was out to see if I can dye his top a blue for an end of z custom but it turned out green (which I really like) and did the bottom as well. I think this came out pretty good for a first attempt I’ll continue with painting the wrist bands orange and the boots orange and black. I gotta figure out how to do the white belt if anyone has suggestions (not painting it but getting the belt tie I know I’ve seen folks do it but no idea how) also any folks with experience dying the figure, everything took the dye really well except the crotch area which is like a harder plastic (I guess coz it’s abs or something or a plastic that doesn’t take dye well) but maybe I’m missing something like I need to prep it a certain way for it to take better so any help there would also be great.

Thought I would share I’ve been obsessed with this ever since I dyed it coz I think it just give the figure a whole different vibe. Lmk if ya’ll want me to do a game begin one next!
