Took a lot more time than I hoped, but I'm pretty satisfied with the results (painting yellow, painting joints and matching skin tones suck). I was originally inspired by JoyToy figure, but wanted one in 1/12 scale. Skin color still all over the place, but at least I'm getting better at painting faces.

My first completed custom figures! The Courier (based on the Lonesome Road cover art) and Boone from Fallout New Vegas.
Boone is just GI Joe Classified Falcon from the 2 pack with sunglasses from an Operation Monster Force figure. I shaved the Falcon head bald, painted the beret, and got rid of the arm hair.
The Courier is based on the Lonesome Road cover art/concept art. He is retro GI Joe Duke with a gamerverse Captain America head because I thought it resembles the default Caucasian male head from New Vegas. The duster is from a Mattel nightmare Batman, the pip boy and 10mm smg are from Hottestfuzzcustoms, and the hat is from GPSlot. A Light Shining in Darkness was made from GI Joe 1911 cut down and repainted.
I might repaint the beret and add a waterslide decal for the 1st Recon patch at a later time as well as making/modifying a soft goods trench coat for a better-looking duster.

Ever since I walked into a comic book store in 1993 to purchase Superman issue 75, The Death of Superman, Doomsday has become one of my favorite comic book villains, so when I saw this Megafig figure, it was almost perfect, except for the paint job. This was my first attempt at repainting a figure, and I think it came out awesome and as comic-book-accurate as possible at the time.

what body could i use for a custom comic dr strange, ive already got the cape and eye of aggomoto covered but the pfficial dr strangr bodys available to me are either too expensive or not ideal.
I really liked Tech Jacket in the show and wanna make her in 3.75 but I'm not super sure what the best body for her would be, any help?
Chest was painted yesterday & is dry enough to touch. Waist was painted day before yesterday & look how glossy and tacky it still is! Any ideas what would cause slower dry time on a particular part of figure? Only idea I have is I must of laid it on thicker in that mid-section.
I recently purchased each 2.0 Deluxe Keaton Batman Hot Toy (my first two Hot Toys ever), and am debating what custom capes to get. I plan on pretty basic, museum like poses for them, so I want a cape that drapes nicely and looks as realistic as possible material wise.
I’ve heard great things about Jaxon Xu, Tony Mei, and Lim Buidon…then I’ve also seen some “OT custom” capes that look really good and are available on right now. Has anyone had experience with OT capes (or any of the other companies mentioned) and/or recommendations???
My first option was painting them, but I was worried about painting the joints since I don’t want to cause paint scratches with them, but then I heard dying could work but I have no experience with dying and worried that I fuck some up. What do you recommend and if you recommend hand painting then how should I go about painting and sanding?
Trying to figure out the best possible solution for a custom head swap. Basically need to figure out how to attach a head which is for a ball/socket joint (on the right) to a body/neck which has a u-shaped joint and swivel (on the left).
Novice here so I may not be using the proper terminology, apologies. But i'd like to know if anyone is familiar with a joint attachment which basically combines both of these attachments, the ball joint and the swivel joint with the circular washer looking piece for the u-shaped neck (on the left)?
There is a translucent small rod in the u-shaped neck which might be hard to see in the image, but the washer looking piece (on the left) attaches to that small rod in the neck. I was hoping to find a joint which can attach to that rod in the neck, but one that also has a ball joint on it so the head which i'm using with a ball socket will fit nicely.
