Hi everyone, I just want to ask for some advice or shared experiences. I had a medical abortion and I’m currently on my second day after taking the medication (1 dose of 200 mg mifepristone and 8 tablets of 200 mcg misoprostol, which I took under my tongue as instructed). I’ve been experiencing bleeding, fever, and I also vomited, and I want to know if these are normal side effects or something to be concerned about. I’m also unsure how to tell if the abortion was successful without going to a clinic right away—what signs should I look for, and how long do symptoms like this usually last? Any information or experiences would really help me understand what to expect.

We have already acquired the medication (Cytotec, Mifepristone, and Methergine), and we want to ensure that everything is done safely and responsibly.

We would like to ask:

• Is it okay to eat before taking the medication, or is fasting required?
• Are there any recommended or restricted foods and drinks before the procedure?
• Are there other important preparations we should be aware of prior to taking the medication?
