I’m reaching out because I’m currently in an unsafe living situation in Los Angeles and need to leave as soon as possible. I’ve been living with my ex and his partner, and since losing my job the situation has escalated into ongoing emotional abuse, financial and housing control, isolation, and repeated conflicts over basic needs like food, sleep, hygiene, privacy, and access to my belongings. There have also been physical confrontations involving my property, and I’m concerned about being displaced without stable housing.
I’m 26, currently job searching, dealing with medical debt, and I cannot drive due to epilepsy/seizures, which makes leaving safely more difficult. I also have several suitcases of belongings, important documents, electronics, and other essentials that I can’t abandon. I’ve contacted the Domestic Violence Hotline, but I’m still trying to find immediate, practical support for emergency housing, storage, and transportation while I stabilize financially.
