so here was my original issue. i couldnt boot up to my cosmic de. Im back on my de. now im having issues with the whole system. These are my issues after getting my boot back up.
- my sound
- the output devices arent being recognized anymore. I cant even open up the sound settings because it closes the settings everytime i click the sound options. all of the other panels dont crash the settings application. Also before it crashes, I notice that the input options settings tab isnt even a thing anymore. So I have no input or output of audio.
- my settings
- Ive noticed that many of my custom keybinds are gone. Additionally, I ran settings through the terminal and got a lot of error messages saying that things wont load. Like i said before, my sound options keep crashing the application. and no output devices are being detected.
- loading time
- All of my applications seem to load a lot slower. I also wanted to see if audio worked on youtube (no devices are being detected) and the youtube videos wont even load at all. it just buffers. Same with spotify.
- firefox
- Randomly firefox will just freeze and I cant do anything. I cant even close out of the application. Even using a keybind like like Alt+f4 doesnt work. I cant launch the system monitor either for some reason to force kill it that way. I almost had to redo this post on my phone because of how bad the freeze was. [I found out that it seems to freeze everytime i right click on my mouse]

- these images are taken from my phone. i cant seem to take screenshots anymore which i use quite often. I dont really understand why the screenshots arent working anymore.
- i havent tested out if other things are working or arent. I just know these arent working because I use these things everyday.
