Hi, I lived in LA for the last 10 years and want to move back to Brooklyn. I’m looking for a spot to sublet studio or one bedroom(I don’t want to live with anyone) my budget is $2000 but can be negotiate. Let me know if there’s anything. I really don’t want to move back in with my parents 😅
Okay, so for context I work at a private school and when things turn up lost people bring them to me. Last year right before summer vacation airpods that were lost were brought to my desk and I was told might be looking for these. Valid. I would look for mine. I went on find my to see if I could contact the owner and they didn’t set them up to be contacted. So I just waited because it says they can track the location so they should know they are here. I work over the summer too and all summer I waited for someone to be like “omg you found my airpods” nothing. In november last year after they had not been claimed since May and my attempts to contact the owner didn’t work, I brought them home for me to use, because I guess after a few months they didn’t care. Apple of course was like “the owner can track these airpods” and it tracked my location from the school to my home so the very next day I immediately brought them back and didn’t touch them. (forgot to mention it would do the lost sound multiple times a day). A month ago a parent came in with the same name as the person who’s name was attached to the airpods. I checked her file and the last four digits matched her as well. So i’m happy I finally found the owner. She was talking to other parents and I politely interrupted her and said ”Hi (parent name) I think these are your airpods, it says your name and has your phone number these are yours!” She looks at me and is like “oh, I don’t know i’m always losing things“ doesn’t take them and continues on with her conversation and does not acknowledge them or me again.
so because of that i’ve been using the airpods. Ive only used them at work not bringing them home since it says owner can still track them, and they still beep occasionally, but i’ve used them nonetheless.
Sorry for the long spiel but i needed to provide context so you guys know I didn’t steal this ladys airpods and i’m not doing anything shady, but my question is:
How do I disconnect her from the airpods and make it so she can’t track me or and i can link them to my icloud account? I know Apple won’t help because the owner has to disconnect themselves, but i’ve only seen her once and it’s not like she said I can use them. She’s loaded and just doesn’t care about lost ones because she probably got new ones, lost those and then got new ones again. I’ve looked up how to disable tracking online but nothing has worked and can anyone help me make these airpods mine?
