I am 35, no children. However, I have siblings who all have kids. I have 17 nieces and nephews. There is constantly a birthday, graduation, wedding, holidays, bridal showers, baby showers, etc etc. I can't afford to keep handing out money as I am trying to pay my way out of debt. Is there any way I can just say NO MORE, without looking like a stingy cheap jerk? Who made up the rule we constantly need to be gifting people money? I just got invited to a wedding and had to shell out so much money for the shower, bachelorette party, wedding gift, outfit to wear...I can't afford this. I'm over it.
