I’ve had multiple experiences where men seem really interested in being dominated - they enjoy when I take charge, get really into it when I’m assertive, or hint at wanting to be controlled - but there’s this visible hesitation or shame around actually naming it or exploring it further.
Some have told me they’ve fantasized about it but never tried because they thought it would make them less masculine. Others seem to want it but won’t directly ask for it.
What’s behind this hesitation? Is it societal pressure? Past experiences? And for those who’ve worked through it, what helped you get comfortable exploring submission?
