Here’s an update of the bionicle tank.
I added a belt driven mini gun utilizing a small rubber band. The motor for the minigun is actually on the inside of the tank as shown in the video.
I’m using a rechargeable battery for the tank cannon. It is significantly lighter than the standard LEGO battery.
I also completely redesigned the magazine and how it works. The magazine was always my biggest complaint in the previous designs since it was so difficult to reload.
Now uses an ammo clip that can be easily inserted and stored on the side of the tank (not shown in the video)
I added a cockpit for a small bionicle in the back of the tank.
Lastly, I moved the turntable mechanism to the bottom portion. The reason I did this was to make more room for the tank cannon and the mechanisms but also to strengthen the turntable and eliminate gear slipping.
I haven’t had the chance to work on the tracks and the rest of the tank. I want to add the tracks and suspension. I’d like to also add a cockpit for another bionicle on the bottom of the tank.
The final version of the tank is going to have more bionicle parts and pieces.
