So right now I teach English at an after-school daycare as a full-time employee, but I want to quit as soon as possible due to feeling dissatisfied with the job. My contract says October 16th of this year is when my work period ends, but are there any consequences for choosing to quit before that day? To clarify, I have a Japanese passport, so I am not dependent on the job for a visa or anything. That being said, will I still get sued for attempting to break my contract early? Or will it be no problem at all?
